HELADO NEGRO, XENIA RUBINOS I FELL IN LOVE

Ambient electronica meets soft and organic vocals on the new track 'I Fell in Love' by Helado Negro (meaning black ice cream in Spanish). Born to Ecuadorian parents in Florida, Helado carries the sunshine and space of his roots in his music. 'I Fell in Love' sees an electronic drum machine with a woody tone meet with fluid synthesizers that spill over the track like fresh water. Helado Negro's vocals are gentle and natural, occasionally enhanced by splashes of delay: "There’s a love to share It’s pulling me apart". Eclectic singer and multi-instrumentalist Xenia Rubinos's vocals feature on the track, adding a layer of velvety richness with the beautifully melancholic lyric "There's a voice of love that sings to me but I keep myself so far and it hurts sometimes". 'I Fell in Love' is a wonderfully honest and tranquil collaboration - an ode to love. -Ellie Rose-Davies
